Update on the development stages of Aicore Life Sciences’ new treatment for bacterial vaginosis

Interim results of the clinical trial (“proof of concept”) for the vaginal ring containing lactic acid as an active ingredient are positive.

The trial started in the fourth quarter of 2018. Final results are expected in the third quarter of 2019.

This new product will be indicated for the treatment of (recurrent) bacterial vaginosis, which is thought to be caused by a continued lack of naturally occurring lactic acid in the vagina.
