Lactoring

The Lactoring vaginal ring is an innovative single-use medical device consisting of a polymer matrix made from biologically neutral polymers, loaded with lactic acid for intravaginal use. Indications for use:
• Relief of symptoms of bacterial vaginosis (such as dryness, burning, itching, unpleasant odor, abundant vaginal discharge);
• As part of comprehensive treatment for bacterial vaginosis in addition to antibacterial medications;
• Prevention of bacterial vaginosis;
• Normalization and maintenance of optimal acidity (pH) levels of the vaginal environment, including during or after a course of antibiotic therapy and/or antifungal medications.

Composition: Matrix system of the vaginal ring (outer diameter 53 mm, thickness 4 mm) consisting of a mixture of ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA 28 (28% by mass vinyl acetate, 72% by mass ethylene) and a copolymer of methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate (1:1) Eudragit L100 in a ratio of 79/21 (by mass), loaded with 150 mg of lactic acid.
